Lesson 2B Notes

The original Writing in Stereo was published online back in the late 1980’s.  Its purpose was to apply creative radio dramatics to all aspects of the teaching of high school English.  Each lesson included a lesson plan and notes.  I’m sharing these with you here.

Notes (II.B) Dramatizing exposition may be the most challenging aspect of this assignment. You might want to focus on the originality applied to that task. If students do add an author-style narrator, make sure they preserve his or her style of writing, possibly speaking. Don't allow the students to use this concept as an excuse to turn radio drama into radio storytelling. Allow two or three class hours to complete this assignment, but keep student pairs on task. Remind them of the steps in Lesson Objective I-B.
